My Story
Hello! I’m Okwukwe Davis, an optometrist with newfound love- web design and digital strategy.
I have been practicing optometry for more than 16years, a husband for 13 + years and a father for 14 + years! Well, I am still dedicated to those wonderful roles but now a passionate Freelance Digital Marketing Strategist & Web Designer. Printing and publishing remain family love.
You may be wondering, “why would Okwukwe dabble into design and strategy?” Is Dr. Okwukwe Davis not supposed to be taking care of the eyes like an optometrist?
Well, he still does but now has joined the league of those who want to fight ugliness through creativity. The life of a designer is a life of fight: fight against the ugliness, according to Massimo Vignelli.
My focus is to help you explore ideas through design and strategy. It is a collaborative effort to discover growth possibilities aligned with your vision.
How did Okwukwe arrive here?:
I was born into a family of printing pioneers in Imo State Nigeria.
I got into optometry school though intending to switch to medicine. I became hooked on the nobility and flexibility in eye care practice.
While engrossed in the daily eye care practice in Saudi Arabia, things became a little routine. This led to some time of self-rediscovery. I got immersed by the internet and saw the need for Nigerian eye clinics and rising professionals to leverage the digital landscape.
I amassed myself in many credible online studies in graphic design, web design, business management, digital marketing strategy and of course healthcare management.
My focus is to craft solutions through functional web design, purposeful branding, and strategic digital marketing.
Meanwhile, I enjoy music more than the makers! My story is incomplete without mentioning that like most Nigerians, we are a highly political family
